Chapter 2 (Bella's Perspective)

May 1st

I walk with the other students up the stairs to be evacuated out of Hogwarts. I am worried. I am scared. I need Edward.

"Bella'', yelled a familiar voice.

I turn and behind me is Jacob Black, a Gryffindor fourth year. He walks next to me.

"Jacob, are you okay," I ask him.

"Yeah, just a little nervous,'' he replied. "What about you?"

"I'm terrified.''

"Don't worry," said Jacob. "Everything will be fine. Where is Edward?"

"He is staying to fight," I reply.

"Oh," said Jacob. "If I could, I would stay and fight too.''

I turn to look at Jacob.

"You would?"

"Yeah," said Jacob. "This is Hogwarts. Our home for seven years, the most amazing place in the world!"

"You are very brave.''

"I would fight for Dumbledore, Harry, and all the other that have been killed by Death Eaters and, Voldemort.''

We both stay silent for a few minutes and continue to follow the crowd up the Grand Staircase.

"How are we going to get out of Hogwarts?" I ask.

"There has to be a secret passageway out of here," said Jacob. "It might connect to Hogsmeade.''

The crowd walk down a corridor on the seventh floor. We stop.

"What's happening," Jacob asks.

I look amazed. in front of me, two large doors have appeared out of thin air.

"Two doors just came out of nowhere!'' I say to Jacob.

The crowd rushes into the huge room. We stand there for a couple of moments.

"This is amazing," said Jacob looking around.

"I know," I said.

I look and see Mr. Filch near a door.

"Everyone this way," he yells.

All the students walk towards Mr. Filch.

"We are going into a passageway," I told Jacob.

"It has to lead to Hogsmeade," Jacob said.

We walk into the dark, narrow passageway. I can't see my hands or the people around me, I have to follow the noise.

Minutes pass and we still are in the passageway. I see a light, it leads to the exit. Me and Jacob are finally out of Hogwarts.

"This is the Hog's Head Inn," said Jacob.

"So we are in Hogsmeade," I said.

"Yeah," said Jacob.
