Chapter 7

A few hours have passed after Harry has killed Voldemort. Everyone is back into the Great Hall.

Professor McGonagall walks to the front of the Great Hall.

"Everyone was fought valiantly during the entire battle. Thank you for your courage, for your bravery, for your loyalty. We have defeated Voldemort and his Death Eaters from attacking us and our school. You all have made the Wizarding World safe again.''

The entire Great Hall cheers. Everyone smiles. I smile as I look around the Great Hall.

"You will be sent home immediately in a few hours. Seventh years, there will be no graduation, you will receive your diplomas as you leave Hogwarts. Everyone must be gone from the school by sunset.''

I turn to Emmett, Jasper, and Rosalie.

"So you won't have no graduation," I said.

"It doesn't matter," said Japser. "We don't need a graduation after, after this who would want?"

I smile at Jasper. I get up from the table.

"I'll be right back."

I walk out of the Great Hall and into the Grand Staircase. I look around the school. This may be the last time I set foot inside this school. This school may close for good. I walk to the basement. I follow the path to get to the Hufflepuff common room.

The common room's door is already open. Students are already inside the common room. I look around, it is unharmed, it looks how it looked when Professor Sprout woke me up in the middle of the night. I walk up the stairs to my Dormitory.

I walk inside and smile. I look at my bed and sit on it. I grab a picture with me and Bella hugging. I place it on my bed. I take out my trunks under my bed. I turn to get the picture and put it in my pocket.

I grab my trunks and walk towards the exit. I turn back and look at the Dormitory.

"Hopefully I will be back for my seventh year," I said. "But not, you have been my home for the past six years. Goodbye.''

I walk out of the common room with my trunks and back into the Great Hall. The other four look at me.

"We should go," I said. "It's a long way.''

The others nod.

"All our stuff is probably ruined," said Alice.

We walk towards Professor McGonagall. She smiles at the five of us.

"Professor," said Alice. "It's going to take time to get home, so it's time for us to go.''

McGonagall smiles. She hugs Alice.

"Alice," said McGonagall. "Thank you for being a valiant leader during the battle.''

Alice smiles. She looks at the the three seventh years. Three diplomas appear out of nowhere.

"Cullen, Emmett," said McGonagall as she gives Emmett his diploma. She hugs Emmett

"The Might of Godric Gryffindor.'' She turns to Japser. "Cullen, Jasper.''

Japser is handed his diploma. McGonagall hugs Jasper.

"The Wise of Rowena Ravenclaw.'' McGonagall then turns to Rosalie.

"Cullen, Rosalie," says McGonagall. "The Wise of Rowena Ravenclaw.''

Rosalie is handed her diploma and hugs Professor McGonagall. McGonagall lets go and looks at the three.

"For the past seven years you have showed your talent at Hogwarts. Hogwarts will truly miss you."

The three smile.

"And we will miss Hogwarts," sais Rosalie.

McGonagall smiles and finally turns to me. She hugs her for a few minutes.

"Edward Cullen. Thank you. You have saved my life during this battle and I thank you for it.''

"It was my pleasure Professor," I replied.

I let go of her hug. She looks at the five of us.

"We will send your luggage in the coming days and enjoy your summer," said McGonagall. "Goodbye.''

"Bye," Me and Alice said.

"Goodbye," the other three said.

I grab my trunks and the five of us walk out of the Great Hall and into the courtyard. I turn to see Harry with Ron and Hermione. I put my trunks on the ground.

"I will be right back.''

I walk towards Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

"Harry," I said. Harry turns to look at me.

"Hi Edward," said Harry.

I hug Harry and tears start to come down my face.

"Thank you," I said tearfully.

Harry hears my voice and smiles. He lets go of my hug. And looks at me face to face.

"It was my pleasure," Harry said smiling.

Me and Harry hug again for a minute. I let go this time.

"Bye," I said to Harry.

"Goodbye Edward," said Harry. "Enjoy your Summer.''

I smile and grab my trunks. I walk back to the others.

"Ready," asks Emmett.

I turn back to look at Hogwarts.

"Ready," I said.

The five of us apparate out of the courtyard of Hogwarts and back to home.
